Boombox Podcast Episode 2

Listen to Episode 2 of the Boombox Podcast

This podcast was recorded last Friday, so some references may seem a little dated. I do seem to ramble quite a bit in it, but whatever, I had fun. There’s also something fun going on in this one. You’ll have to listen all the way through to get the benefit of it, but it should be worth it to many of you.

Topics discussed:

  1. Two Slate articles that talk about different fraudulent enterprises.
  2. What happens when a blog dies?
  3. And organizing our blog schedules.

Hi Jason, good podcast. You sound at home with these - cool as a cucumber. (Do you see what I did there?)

This has actually given me an idea for my Quick Tips post - not sure if I’ll have time to do it this week, but we’ll see!

Man, I tell you, I was listening to your podcast and it just really made me hungry for a cucumber!

Nice work on the podcast, I think you have a really cool “brand” getting built up. The intro was great and I think your whole image around booms, explosions, and powder kegs is genius. I thought the very first few seconds of the podcast we’re cool too with the “tuning in” type of sound. How’d you make that sound by the way, or did you download a wav clip and pre-pend it to your podcast?

In any case, keep up the good work!
    Tim

Hey Jason, great podcast man. I really like how you used the fake links on a pr9 guy as an example and talked about being true to yourself… I also am definitely going to check into the google calendar… I think it would really help laying everything out and keeping organized like you said.

Very nice work w/ the podcast. Like Ben said, you were definitely cool as a cucumber… nice little analogy Ben ;) I’m looking forward to the next.

Hi Tim, I found a site that offers sound effect downloads. I found the tuning in sound there. I’m glad you liked it. :)

By the way, you inspired me to add an MP3 recording to my site!
    Check it out: http://themoneykings.com/blog/tenant_needs_a_new_crib

I embedded a quick MP3 player right in the page to add a little funny effect to emphasize a saying I heard one day when trying to rent a property!

Great work man, I didn’t expect those explosions, I really liked the introduction :D. I noticed that your voice heard it more to a radio voice, keep doing your podcast, you are doing it very well.
